OLÈ

OLÈ

Some caracterise it as a cry, others as a shout of approval, triumph or encouragement.

Originating from Ancient Greek mythology as a form of ululation in the ritual of cry, it later became hispanicized into meaning bravo and expressing the appreciation of outstanding performance. A passionate shout that often accompany bullfighters and dancers at peak moments of their show, and what better word to serve also as a nod to incredibly intricate details and the masterful craftsmenship of our artisans other than OLE, the SS24 collection by Elio Abou Fayssal.

For this year's collection, atelier Elio Abou Fayssal decided to pay homage to spanish heritage. Inspired by flamenco culture, bullfighting, the vibrant spiritual traditions, ceramic murals and sevillian architecture, the designer references the glamour and beauty of Spain in elevated designs and reinterprets techniques with a dash of his unmistakable modernist yet dramatic touch.

Colourful and vibrant fabrics, playful silhouettes, mesmerising details worthy of an Olé for every step taken in these dresses. Evident through the collection are the glamorous attitude towards torero panache mixed with flamboyant flamenco confidence which find their way into reinvented costumes and traditional dresses embodying a contrast between heritage aesthetics and bold modern lines true to Elio Abou Fayssal.
